The Role:
Uisce Éireann IT (UÉ IT) provides IT services and support to the wider Uisce Éireann business.
IT Operations is responsible for all operational run activities across Applications, Service Management and Infrastructure. The Applications teams are responsible for implementing, upgrading and supporting all Uisce Éireann applications (CC&B, Maximo, Maximo Schedular, Crew Works, Middleware, Oracle Financials, GIS, HR specific, SharePoint and Service Now etc.) including those built on the Dynamics 365 platform such as CDS, EIMS and SIMS. The Applications teams also have a pivotal role to play in the implementation of new applications for the organisation, working with the IT Build and Delivery area.
Reporting to the Work & Asset Management Team Lead, the Work & Asset Management (WAM) Applications Technical Analyst is responsible for the Analysis, Configuration, Maintenance and Support of all aspects of Uisce Éireann WAM systems. The WAM systems currently include Maximo (Enterprise Asset Management system), Maximo Schedular (Scheduling system) and Crew Works (mobility system), Trimble Unity (mobile survey), Informer (inventory management), Microsoft Dynamics and will grow\change as more WAM capability is introduced and\or systems are upgraded across Uisce Éireann.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Acting as an integral member of a design team responsible for designing, estimating, documenting, developing, testing and implementing new/enhanced features for the installed products, working with Applications Build & Delivery team as appropriate. Liaising with internal and external resources through this process.
Support the day to day running of the Uisce Éireann WAM applications including the resolution of issues and relevant escalation, with a particular focus on technical issues\resolutions.
Providing technical support for WAM systems
Developing technical requirements and processes in support of all implementations.
Providing timely information to guide planning and development of solutions.
Management of external resources.
Tracking and resolving escalated support calls (internally and externally) with third parties.
Assessing, monitoring and controlling risks arising from transfer of information to and from external organisations such as service providers.
Reporting on information security risks to IT management and managing the response to any incidents which may arise.
Providing awareness and competency of Maximo and other WAM systems across IT/project teams.
Defining, promoting and enforcing strong governance including applications, security and company standards.
Adherence to IT development procedures and standards.
User support and training.
Liaison with external resource/service providers.
Provide out-of-hours cover as part of the Standby Rota as required.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including but not limited to;
Wider IT Teams, notably Service Management and Build & Delivery Teams
Asset Management business users
Project Teams across the business
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
3+ years of experience in the implementation, Technical Knowledge and support of Maximo and WAM Systems
Professional training\certification in Maximo and WAM systems
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience.
Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others.
Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements and propose and implement solutions.
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements.
Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
