Overview of Role
A public sector client has a requirement for a Cyber Security Risk Officer for a 2+ year contract role. This role is part of a new specialist team and you will be a key member operating at a senior level. The Risk Officer role deals with predicting and managing Cyber Security Risk within the organisation. The role is demanding and involves assessing the threats posed from various sources and translating that into a model that can be used to efficiently direct resources and expenditure for maximum return.
The Responsibilities of the Role are:
* Generate and maintain a threat actor assessment model
* Generate, maintain and assess Cyber Security Incident Response plans based on threat scenarios
* Build and maintain a risk profile of systems to enable accurate risk assessment
* SIEM management and orchestration including use case generation and vendor collaboration
* Ownership and management of the Cyber Security Risk and Vulnerability management process through its lifecycle
* Lead security resources in developing processes, administration of the RVM, reporting and coordination of risks to relevant stakeholders
You will have:
* 7+ years experience leading or contributing significantly to a vulnerability management process in a Public Sector, FinTech or Public Services organisation
* Experience of penetration testing
* Experience of the application of the MITRE Att&ck framework
* Attack simulation and risk modelling
* Report writing and delivery of results
* A Professional qualification in a framework or standard that incorporates cyber Security risk assessment
* A penetration testing qualification from a recognised vendor outside of college modules that form part of a larger qualification
