Our client is a long-established civil engineering contractor working on tarmacadam surfacing, drainage, lighting and ducting, and roads projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining good relations with clients and their representatives.
2. Supporting staff to perform commercial/contractual duties as necessary.
3. Liaising with other departments to provide information to improve the service provided and received by the Commercial / Financial Departments.
4. Preparation of monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and certification of amounts for contract, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers.
5. Providing the necessary information to enable an accurate and regular review of cash flow and position on contracts to be maintained.
6. Recovery of all monies to which the Company is entitled in return for all work undertaken.
Requirements:
1. 6-10 years post-graduate experience in a similar role.
2. Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Self-motivation with the ability to multitask multiple projects, prioritise and meet deadlines.
6. Carry out full take-off, estimating, cost control and tracking of progress of contracts.
7. IT Skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular are essential.
Package:
Salary of €55k - €80k negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
