Job Title: Assistant Director
The successful applicant will lead a multidisciplinary team, including nursing and allied health staff, in delivering high-quality patient care. This involves providing clinical and professional leadership, managing services for the elderly and under 75 Unit, and coordinating external services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic direction and vision for the nursing service
* Lead and develop the management team to achieve organisational goals
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to determine service needs and plans
* Maintain effective relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
* Ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively
* Develop and implement quality initiatives, including clinical audit and standard setting
Administrative Responsibilities:
* Manage staff allocation, deployment, and rostering
* Provide guidance and support to nursing and allied staff
* Participate in recruitment and selection processes
* Implement new policies and procedures
* Conduct regular staff appraisals and provide feedback
Education Responsibility:
* Assess training needs and develop in-service training programs
* Organise education and development opportunities for staff
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development
Salary:
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum
