**Accountant Role in High End Indigenous Business**
Our client, a leading indigenous manufacturer and distributor of unique products across Ireland and the UK, seeks an Accountant to join their Finance team.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with several years of post-qualification experience in a well-run business or a larger accountancy firm. They will have excellent IT and interpersonal skills, a proactive can-do attitude, and the ability to interact effectively at senior levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of quarterly management accounts and variance analysis
* Contribution to annual budgeting and forecasting processes
* Maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations and management of year-end activities, including liaison with auditors
* Ensuring effective internal controls and compliance with financial and tax reporting regulations
* Overseeing banking, intercompany, and sales analysis reporting
* Participation in accounting system development, review, and implementation
* Monitoring stock levels and coordinating stocktakes
* Group-wide VAT returns and weekly payroll cost reporting
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified accountant with several years of post-qualification experience
* Proactive and comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business
* Excellent IT and interpersonal skills
* Proactive can-do attitude
* Exposure to fast-paced indigenous manufacturing, retail, or FMCG distribution companies is advantageous
