Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
About the Role
The successful candidate will join an existing accounts team based at our Headquarters in Ballyclare and involves responsibility for a range of duties as outlined below.
This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week with flexibility required to meet deadlines as applicable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage Accounts Payable process: Process supplier invoices, compile monthly supplier payment runs, reconcile supplier statements etc.
* Processing interdepartmental invoices and allocation to cost centres
* Analysis and preparation of employee expenses
* Compilation of monthly KPIs to enable decision making
* Preparation and posting of journals at month end, including accruals and prepayments
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Meeting month end deadlines
* Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
* Stock reconciliations and assisting in stock control and reporting
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Ad hoc duties commensurate with the position and providing support to accounts team as required
Job Requirements
* Be part qualified or qualified (IATI, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
* Possess previous experience of the aforementioned key duties and responsibilities (experience of preparing management accounts, stock reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations is highly desirable but not essential)
* Possess excellent general IT skills including advanced level experience of Microsoft Excel (regular use of pivot tables, V look-ups, advanced formulae)
* Have previous experience of using accounts packages
* Be self motivated and enthusiastic
* Be of a questioning and investigative nature possessing strong critical thinking and analytical skills
* Have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and liaise well with staff at all levels across the business
* Possess a proactive and flexible working approach to meet the needs of the business
* Have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team
* Have the ability to pay attention to detail and solve problems efficiently
* Have the drive and determination to complete work efficiently on time
* Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and an ability to structure work load efficiently
* Be willing to accept change and have the ability and flexibility to adapt accordingly as business needs require
