What does a Field Application Engineer do?
* Based on-site on major projects in Europe
* Use a Total Station to establish the control network
* Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to ensure works are installed correctly, as per the BIM Model.
* Produce reports and subsequent deliverables based on the inspections from that day.
* Establish and maintain our primary control network on site for the longevity of the project.
* Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to plan daily activities.
* Process and review acquired data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
* Work alongside other Field Application Engineers to maintain an efficient workflow, ensuring all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
* Work with the XYZ team, the Client, Main Contractor and Sub Contractors to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme in order to de-risk incorrect installation from taking place in the field.
* Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models from contractors to export into HoloSite in line with the master construction programme.
* Report to the Senior Engineer to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standard before submission.
Requirements
* A qualification in a construction or surveying subject i.e land surveying, geomatics, geodesy, geospatial, construction engineering, construction management, civil engineering, digital construction, GIS or similar.
* Either a fresh Graduate or up to c. 3-4 years experience.
* Ideally you will have experience/knowledge of operating a total station
* An exemplary, positive and humble attitude towards learning and working within a team
* The right to work in the EU without VISA sponsorship or limitations
* Basic knowledge of some industry software i.e BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D
* Confident in using Microsoft Office – Specifically Word and Excel.
* Full European Drivers License highly beneficial as projects can be located on outskirts of major cities and not always easily accessible by public transport
* Ability to travel and support other European project locations when required, occasionally for extended periods of time.
