Job Description: Renewables Site ManagerSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert:Renewables Operations & Maintenance (O&M) is a department within ESB Generation and Trading responsible for managing ESB’s wind and distributed generation assets.As part of our Net Zero by 2040 Strategy, we aim to generate 70% of our electricity from renewable sources by 2030, including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, and renewable enabling assets like batteries and peaking plants.Due to the expected expansion of our renewable portfolio, ESB seeks to appoint a Site Manager for the Southwest region, overseeing operations at Grousemount and Mount Eagle Wind Farms, with backup responsibilities for other sites.This autonomous role requires a self-starter capable of multi-tasking and effective communication across all organizational levels. Flexibility and adaptability to business needs are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesManage site safety, operations, and access control for renewable assets.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, including local plant operation and electrical duties.Implement and maintain plant procedures, policies, and safety programs.Respond promptly to site alarms and issues, participating in an on-call rota.Manage contractors, perform inductions, and oversee work activities.Ensure compliance with ESB Safety Rules, acting as Work Controller and Safety System Coordinator as trained.Handle warranty issues related to renewable assets.Experience and QualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in plant operation and maintenance, preferably in wind farms.Technical or Engineering qualification (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent experience.Assertive with excellent communication skills and proactive in procedure development.Strong safety focus, reporting, and documentation skills.Ability to work at heights and knowledge of control systems and CMMS.Willingness to work flexible hours and experience with electrical isolations.Understanding of the commercial aspects of generation.LocationBased initially at Grousemount Wind Farm, Co. Kerry, with proximity requirements within 90 minutes of the site.
