Job Description
This is a full-time Support Pharmacist role that offers flexibility, allowing you to work 5, 4, or 3 days a week. It's an excellent opportunity to provide support in busy and challenging environments.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strictly observe statutory regulations relating to medicinal product supply as per the Pharmacy Act 2007.
* Adhere to dispensing standard operating procedures and maintain appropriate records and hygiene within the pharmacy as per the Pharmacy Act 2008.
* Ensure Health and Safety issues are brought to the attention of the managing pharmacist.
* Fulfill advisory roles concerning over-the-counter medicines and ensure staff on the medicine counter are aware of counter-prescribing procedures and limitations.
* Manage Department of Health Schemes, such as DPS, LTI, and GMS, ensuring timely submissions and reconciliations.
* Maintain proper stock levels, ensuring correct storage and monitoring of dated products.
* Assume responsibility for supervising the pharmacy during the absence of the Pharmacist.
* Ensure the pharmacy remains clean and tidy, with any Health and Safety issues promptly reported to the Pharmacy Manager.
* Deliver the highest standards of care and service.
* Support the retail operation of the Pharmacy.
* Participate in training and development programmes provided by the pharmacy.
* Stay up-to-date with registration changes and PSI practice guidance.
Leadership & Teamwork:
* Provide support to stakeholders within the pharmacy and company to achieve company goals.
* Work proactively, taking initiative and building positive relationships with others in the pharmacy.
* Participate in staff training, implementation, and development of the role function.
* Assist the managing pharmacist in Health Promotion and Pharmaceutical Care programmes.
