The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Family Responses Manager to lead, coordinate, and deliver high-quality services for families struggling within the community. This strategic role involves overseeing a team of managers, driving the implementation of Trauma-Informed Practices, and ensuring adherence to national quality standards and Children First and Child Protection policies. The role requires collaboration with various agencies and internal teams to enhance service delivery and develop innovative solutions for emerging needs.
This is a new role with space for the person to contribute to shaping the role and to creatively and dynamically lead the future direction of organisation's responses to family facing any problems within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
* Lead a team of managers, build capacity, and ensure the smooth operation of services. Drive recruitment, provide support and supervision, and lead the rollout of Trauma-Informed Practice across family services.
Operational Oversight:
* Ensure continuity of service delivery, manage crises, and ensure adherence to child protection and data protection policies. Support administrative and financial procedures, and ensure compliance with national standards.
Client Services:
* Create a safe, welcoming environment for clients, embed proactive client engagement, and ensure high standards in care and case management. Encourage client involvement and handle complaints in line with policy.
Interagency Collaboration:
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external agencies, represent the organization at meetings, and ensure effective communication across agencies.
Health & Safety:
* Prioritize health and safety across all family services, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
General Duties:
* Contribute to management meetings, participate in regular supervision, provide on-call management support, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* A minimum of five years’ experience of working in a management role in a comparable area of work (homeless services, community services, health services, family services etc.)
* A minimum of five years’ experience of working with vulnerable communities
* A recognised third level qualification (minimum level 8) in Social Care or a related field
* A minimum of three years’ specific experience of working with homeless families or families who are socially disadvantaged
* A commitment to the Vision, Mission and Values of the organisation and to the achievement of their strategic goals
* A thorough understanding of the nature of homelessness and of the complex needs of homeless families
* Full clean driving license and own transport
