Head of Finance - Limerick - BDO Recruitment Dynamic and thriving law firm seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance to lead the finance function and drive business growth.

We provide a range of legal services through 19 Partners and 120 employees across our two brands: Holmes (Business to Business) and HOMS Assist (Private Client).
Job Summary The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the finance function, including financial control, financial reporting and analysis, compliance/risk management, stakeholder management, and strategic/commercial leadership.
Responsibilities Manage the finance team and implement metrics to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounts payable, accounts receivable/credit control, cash & bank, timesheet recording, and balance sheet items.
Review and develop current financial policies regarding capital structures, liaising with financial institutions, cashflow management, fee rates, firm profitability, and procurement/expenditure management.
Prepare and present the detailed annual budget incorporating revenue, operational expenditure, capital expenditure, and cashflow.
Ensure timely provision of monthly management accounts to the partnership, along with relevant analysis of key business drivers, including IT, HR, facilities/premises, and business development.
Presentation of commentary on variance between actual and budgeted revenue and expenditure, as well as accurate forecasting of cashflow for future periods.
Reporting on compliance levels of the firm's procurement policy.
Ad hoc reports as required.
Accurate and timely completion of Law Society reports in conjunction with the firm's accountants.
Assist the audit and compliance partner/committee to ensure quality and compliance controls are in place.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the finance function.
Stakeholder Management: Effective management of external relationships with bankers, accountants, corporate advisors, and The Law Society of Ireland.
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with partners.
Managing and motivating members of the finance team.
Implementing performance measures for the finance team and providing feedback on a regular basis.
Develop strategic and operational plans with partners to deliver the firm's strategic objective.
Provide financial guidance/leadership to business support departments.
Provide accurate, timely, and relevant financial and non-financial information to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements The successful candidate must possess:
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CPA).
Experience of working within the services sector.
At least 5 years post-qualification experience.
Experience within a senior finance/leadership position.
Demonstrated commercial/strategic acumen.
Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
