We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to young people with learning disabilities and challenging behavioural needs.
Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe and supportive environment for the young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
* Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, household duties, and meal preparation.
* Support the young people's educational and leisure activities, including attending school and participating in outings.
* Transport the young people to and from school, activities, and other appointments.
* Contribute to reviews, staff meetings, and individual programs of care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the young people.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in care-related subject or equivalent.
* 2 years' experience in similar roles working with young people with learning disabilities and challenging behavioural needs.
* Flexibility to work evening, weekends, night, and day shifts as per rota requirements.
* Enhanced vetting, including an enhanced Access NI check, due to the nature of the work.
* Up-to-date immunisation records and a full occupational health review.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective time management, and prioritisation skills.
