About the Role:
The Site Manager will oversee all mechanical and electrical aspects of the data centre water treatment project delivery on projects throughout Europe. This role involves managing the installation and commissioning of water treatment systems via the use of sub-contractors and EPS resources to ensure they meet project specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical or process water engineering along with excellent leadership skills and experience in site management. Based at our head office in Mallow, Co. Cork initially but with extended travel to Finland and mainland Europe to oversee the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage Site Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation of specialist water treatment plant and associated pipework and instrumentation, including electrical aspects and control panels.
2. Coordinate with Stakeholders: Liaise with project managers, sub-contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the mechanical team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. Quality Assurance: Ensure all works comply with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
5. Site Supervision: Supervise mechanical and electrical subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
6. Commissioning and Testing: Oversee the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems.
7. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues promptly to avoid delays.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and testing.
9. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
10. Health & Safety: Responsibility for all site HSQE requirements and ensuring all activities are carried out safely.
Key Competencies and Skills:
1. M&E background with experience in delivery.
2. Strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3. Leadership of site teams and decision-making on delivery.
4. Familiar with reading drawings, including General Arrangement and P&ID's.
5. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
6. Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices.
7. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
8. Experience in the data centre industry is advantageous.
Qualifications:
1. Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Process Water Engineer.
2. Full driving licence.
3. Minimum of 5 years' experience in site supervision or management.
