Concierge
We are currently recruiting for a Concierge who will work in our Front of House Department at The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens.
This is a fixed term position from the beginning of April to the end of September 2025.
Duties:
1. Booking and arranging guest activities, transportation, restaurant reservations and arranging amenities for special occasions
2. Set up and break down of conference and banqueting functions
3. Respond to guest queries over the phone, via email and in person
4. Maintain a professional image at all times; a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming is essential, in line with company’s uniform policy
5. Handling and storage of guest luggage from their transport, to and from their rooms
6. Liaising with drivers and guides to arrange pick up and drop off times
7. Anticipate guests needs and deliver service to the highest quality standards
8. Upkeep of the cleanliness of the luggage rooms and front of house areas at all times
9. Ensure that the guests get the best out of their stay
10. Parking of guest cars
11. Driving guests to Killarney town when required in the hotel vehicle
12. Other ad hoc duties can be assigned to you by the Head Concierge, Front Office Manager, Duty Managers and General Manager
Requirements:
1. Excellent knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions is essential
2. Previous experience in a similar role within a high class Hotel Industry
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office systems
5. Knowledge of Opera is desirable
6. Friendly, sociable and guest oriented - naturally warm and engaging personality
7. Excellent communication skills for liaising guests needs interdepartmentally
8. Ensuring excellence in delivering service standards to our guests
9. Structured and organised in your work, attention to detail is a must
10. Enjoy working in a busy and fast paced environment and as part of a team
11. Fluency of the English language, both verbal and written, is essential
12. Full, clean Irish drivers licence is essential
