We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a food manufacturing company based in Co. Longford. This person will be responsible for day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. The role involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and process improvements to ensure the smooth operation of production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Production Line Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
* Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute and track PM schedules (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
* Downtime Analysis: Identify recurring issues and implement solutions to reduce mechanical downtime.
* Work Order Management: Process and review outstanding and completed work orders.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and champion best practices.
* Engineering Projects: Contribute to process and equipment improvements.
Requirements:
* Electrical trade qualification required (Third-level Engineering qualification is an advantage).
* Experience in electrical services, control systems, and computer networks.
* Background in Food or Pharma industries preferred.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
* Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, fabricating, and machining.
* Experience with PLC systems (Siemens S7 preferred).
