We are Looking for RD&A Manager | Bakery | Pan Europe for our location Naas (Global Innovation Centre) Ireland.
Key responsibilities
1. Leading the Pan European (PE) Bakery team for Europe and an active leader within the wider Pan European D&A team. Reporting directly to the RD&A Director for Pan Europe.
2. Strong people leader, developing and growing talent within the Bakery Applications team, supporting on development needs and growing strengths of the team
3. Managing and delivering the application pipeline for Europe for the Bakery sEUM.
4. Responsible for the technical approval of relevant Bakery EUM opportunities in line with the business rules and ensuring that the required technical resource is allocated to fulfil the opportunities needs.
5. Partnering closely with the regional Business Units (BU’s) to ensure seamless execution on customer requirements and ensure resource to lead opportunities.
6. Partnering with the Foundational technology teams to validate and promote Foundational technologies within the region, ensuring fit for purpose data to drive credibility in our technologies and identifying areas for focus to drive growth in line with the strategy.
7. Ownership of the Bakery Application Innovation funnel and driving a pipeline of ideas to grow.
8. Ownership of the execution sEUM strategic projects and close partnership with the EUM team to deliver against.
9. Responsible for linking consumer and customer insights into application solutions
10. Ensuring Collection offer is fit for purpose and identify gaps where required, working closely with the Foundational Technology teams to fill.
11. Engaging with PE leaders to ensure that the ways of working are aligned with strategy and key focus areas.
12. Expectation of this role will be fully Naas based 4-5 days per week.
Qualifications and skills
13. 5-10 years experience in bakery application/R&D/NPD management roles
14. Technical background with food science based degree or equivalent relevant professional experience and trade qualifications
15. Significant experience in industrial bakery manufacturing/processing
16. Good knowledge of bakery products including Bread, Fermented goods, Yeast raised laminated products, Cakes, Biscuits, Crackers etc.
17. Good knowledge of associated product categories such as process aids and functional ingredients (e.g. enzymes, emulsifiers)
18. People management experience
19. Strong communication skills to engage different stakeholders within organization and with external stakeholders
20. Strong strategic mindset and ability to deliver against strategy
21. Strong collaboration skills across the matrix
22. Experience working with and presenting to customers
23. Excellent organisational skills, time management and ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met

26. Proficient in English (verbal & written)
