The ideal candidate will have a passion for both small and large animal practice, providing comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse client base.
The role requires a compassionate, skilled, and motivated individual who is eager to contribute to the well-being of animals and the success of our practice.
The modern, purpose-built facility is equipped with the latest veterinary technology, including on-site digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a fully equipped laboratory, enabling you to offer top-quality care for the patients.
The practice consists of 8 experienced veterinarians, 4 skilled nurses, and 6 friendly support staff, all passionate about delivering compassionate and expert care - including a team member with a certificate in cardiology ultrasound.
Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to both small and large animals.Diagnose and treat illnesses in a variety of animal species.Perform routine and emergency surgeries.Advise clients on animal care, nutrition, and general health practices.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Requirements: Qualified and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong background in Large Animal (LA) care.Must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland and certified to carry out TB testing.Confident and competent in performing routine calls, TB testing, and carrying out routine operations.Experience in SA medicine and surgery is preferable.Ability to work in a busy mixed practice, balancing a diverse caseload.A proactive, team-oriented approach with a passion for providing high-quality care.Must be able to share on-call and weekend duties as part of the 1 in 4 rota.A compassionate attitude towards animals and clients alike.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Flexibility to work on a rotating on-call schedule.Benefits: VCI and VDC paidCompetitive salaryCPD funded - plus 5 paid CPD days22 Days Annual Leave + your birthday offSick payFocus on employee Wellbeing - gym membershipParental and bereavement leaveCareer Progression Opportunities, both clinical and non-clinicalEmployee discount - including free flu InoculationsPension schemeHow to Apply: Is this role something for you?
