Cpl has the pleasure of working with a leader in the Hospitality Sector they are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Group Project Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for various key financial projects for the Group, (initial project overseeing implementation of CSRD reporting across our group while also driving our compliance for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting).
Reporting to: Group Chief Financial Officer
Key Responsibilities:
* Work on finance related projects as identified by Head Office or Regional Heads of Finance.
* To develop and lead the internal ESG reporting processes, to ensure compliance with ESG regulatory requirements including CSRD.
* Support in development of robust systems, processes and tools for sustainability data collection and analysis.
* Ensure required internal controls and clear audit trail are in place in relation to ESG reporting.
* To work with onsite finance teams to review internal control processes as identified by the Regional Heads of Finance and help to implement new controls and processes in line with group control procedures and requirements.
* Spend time working on the newly designed processes to help to iron out problems to then see it through creating SOP’s that are easy to follow for the onsite accounts teams.
Working with the Group finance team:
* Supporting the group’s digital transformation journey and driving process improvements.
* Other developmental and value-added projects as they arise.
* Travel will be required within Ireland.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified ACA accountant with a range of audit experience
* Experience working both with a team but also leading projects and taking initiative
* Highly motivated individual
* Enthusiastic about embracing an evolving role, with a proven ability to take on and complete new challenges
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong technical accounting skills
* Strong IT proficiency
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong desire for continuous improvement
