At Blue Forge Recruitment we're excited to announce an opportunity for a senior ambient Duty Manager to join an established supermarket in North Cork, that is completely refurbishing their flagship store in the new year and poses to be a big player in its category for 2025. We are looking to speak to a strong shop floor or fresh food Duty Manager who would love to be part of this expansion story.
The store maintains exceptional standards, boasting a bustling atmosphere, free parking, and an extensive selection of fresh foods including an in-store bakery and butchers. We're seeking an enthusiastic individual with solid experience in the retail grocery or food service sector, eager to grow within a top-performing supermarket group and potentially advance to managerial roles within the retail network.
Our client will offer a salary from 36,000 up to 42,000 DOE.
Permanent Contract, ongoing training, pension, progression within their chain of stores and staff discount.

Have strong attention to detailPeople management skillsMust demonstrate good business acumen, able to understand how to grow sales, control P&L, control costs. Grocery or fresh food knowledge ideally within Retail, Supermarkets, Catering, or Cafe environments would be essential for this job.Strong organisational skills, demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a high pressured environmentFlexible to work different shifts, mornings and evenings

Shop minding, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and maintaining the standards whilst managing the store on your ownAs a Duty Manager, you will be assigned specific departments to ensure effective growth of these areas, by maintaining availability as agreed, driving profitability and sales, liaising and coordinating with your suppliers to ensure pricing and stock levels are controlled and effective control over wasteSupervising and coaching teams in your departments Customer service, using your experience in professionally resolving complaints, developing a good customer service strategy to entice more customers, increase footfall, and retain customers
