Position summary:
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, Jigsaw’s Donor Development Officer will be a central member of the fundraising team. You will join a dynamic, fast paced, innovative and award-winning team that share a passion for increasing awareness and funds for Jigsaw's youth mental health services and supports.
This role will be responsible for leading on our donor relationship, acquisition, retention, and cultivation strategies to build our communities of support to increase income across our fundraising mix. You will be a people focused, relationship builder who will work with colleagues to develop clear, well thought out supporter recruitment strategies. You will be responsible for leading on our extensive donor communications program to inspire, recruit and retain our growing community of supporters

Established (as Headstrong) in 2006, Jigsaw is Ireland’s leading youth mental charity and is committed to advancing young people’s mental health and to developing supportive communities by providing a range of early intervention primary care services and supports across the Republic of Ireland.
With the support of a range of public and private funders, we deliver free mental health services and supports for young people and adults including:
1. Free therapy with young people (aged 12-25) in-person across 14 regional hubs and online via phone and video
2. community-based programmes aimed at better informing, supporting, educating and empowering young people and those around them, in places where they live, learn, work and play
3. pioneering research and robust evaluation leading to transformative evidence
4. a wide range of online mental health supports, services and programmes through jigsaw.ie
5. comprehensive schools programmes aimed at supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people by developing a shared responsibility for mental health across the whole school community

Core job requirements:
6. In line with the highest standards of fundraising practice you will be central in the development, planning, budgeting, and managing of a range of supporter communications, acquisition, retention, and cultivation activities to help build our base of donors.
7. Possessing excellent people skills, you build strong person-to-person relationships with supporters, build our bank of impact stories and develop and deliver messaging that resonates with, and inspires, our diverse audiences to give and continue to give.
8. You will contribute towards all supporter acquisition and journey planning in line our three-pillared strategy of public, corporate and philanthropic giving, delivering agreed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and agreed income targets.
9. You will work to build strong and lasting donor relationships, growing engagement, connection and lifetime value – and champion a best-in-class level of supporter care across the organisation.
10. As a strong communicator, you will curate, develop and edit excellent, clinically sound and evidence-informed content and messaging that resonates with, and supports, our various audiences
11. You will work closely with the Fundraising Manager and team to ensure that technologies and systems best supports individual regular giving and communications activity.
12. You will have experience of managing donors through a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform and will contribute to Jigsaw CRM’s development and data management plans in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guidelines.
13. With a keen eye for results and impact, you will capture and communicate fundraising data in a clear manner that can enable decision making quickly and effectively.
14. Internally, you will support internal audiences and help promote a strong culture and understanding of the role of Fundraising and donor recognition throughout Jigsaw.
15. You will actively participate in the delivery of all elements of our organizational fundraising strategy.
16. Work collaboratively with other departments across Jigsaw and be a supportive and effective team member
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential Criteria:
17. You are passionate about supporting young people with their mental health and achieving change in Irish society
18. A minimum of 3 years’ experiences working within fundraising, community development or a related area
19. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
20. Experience of working with a CRM system (Ideally Salesforce)
21. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess the skills to effectively work within cross functional teams in a collaborative environment
22. You are insights-driven and are committed to quality, accuracy, and consistency
23. Demonstrated ability to bring fundraising projects from strategy development through to execution, in line with fundraising income targets.
24. Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate and collaborate with co-workers in a team-oriented environment
25. Demonstrate initiative and drive for results.
Desirable Criteria:
26. A 3rd level qualification in marketing or related field
27. Experience in Salesforce is a distinct advantage
28. Proficient in presenting and public speaking
29. Previous experience in an NGO environment
30. Full, clean driving license.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Factors taken into account in determining an appropriate scale include the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the job. The salary range for this role will be €33,000 - €46,800.
