Job Description As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience and play an integral role in our project delivery process.
Your responsibilities will include engaging with suppliers and specialist contractors for procurement, assisting construction teams, preparing handover packs, tracking project progress, and generating essential documentation such as RFIs and technical submittals.
You will work closely with design consultants, the JEG design team, and construction management, contributing to successful project outcomes.
We have opportunities currently in Dublin, Carlow and Kildare.

Your responsibilities will include: Liaising with suppliers and specialist contractors for the procurement of goods and services.Assisting in the generation of RFIs, technical submittals, equipment registers, and trackers.Assisting the construction team, including Supervisors, subcontractor foremen, and QAQC personnel.Liaising with the JEG design team, design consultants, and construction management team.Assisting in preparing handover packs in coordination with the QA Department.Assisting in tracking the progress of the construction programme and issuing weekly progress reports.Attending weekly construction, design, and permit meetings.Reporting to the Project Manager on project progress.Performing general administrative duties, document control, and following site procedures.Requirements To excel in this internship, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Currently pursuing a relevant third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Valid Safepass / Manual Handling certificates required for successful applicants.Proficiency in MS Office systems is required.Knowledge of a contracting environment is advantageous but not essential.Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team is essential.Strong communication and organisation skills are necessary.During your internship, you will receive a competitive compensation package.
