Assistant Duty Manager
Cork-based hotel seeks an experienced Assistant Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Staff Management:
o Ensure adequate staffing and timely attendance.
o Enforce company policies on employment and discipline.
o Communicate with HR and management on performance and issues.
o Prepare and post weekly staff rosters.
o Foster a positive, cooperative work environment.
o Organise staff training and development.
* Daily Operations:
o Ensure smooth shift operations and service preparation.
o Maintain efficient service with minimal delays.
o Organise regular stocktaking.
o Handle managerial duties as needed.
* Customer Service:
o Address customer inquiries and complaints.
o Communicate company services and facilities to guests.
o Ensure staff hygiene and grooming standards.
o Promote Service Excellence and attend training.
* Health & Safety:
o Operate machinery and follow safety procedures.
o Conduct fire and accident drills, reporting hazards.
o Adhere to food safety and HACCP standards.
* Cash Control:
o Ensure proper handling of cash and payments.
o Reconcile credit card payments daily.
o Plan cash lifts based on trading patterns.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2+ years experience in a management position in hospitality.
* Flexible schedule as shifts will vary with both AM/PM shifts.
* Excellent customer service.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
* Stock and cash control experience.
