Mercer Global Investments Technology seek a talented, Dublin based individual, to help us build new & better tech solutions for Investment Managers.
You will play a key role in the analysis, understanding, architecting & solution design of a broad range of investment management tech solutions.
Collaboratively working in an Agile team, together you will help us build new and better solutions, capturing business requirements to benefit how end users (portfolio managers, traders, operations staff, client facing teams and clients) do a better job.
Communicating these in the form of documented requirements to our by MMC tech application development teams, our Fintech partners & vendors (i.e. State Street Alpha, Charles River CRIMS, Factset, Jacobi, or Backstop)

What you need to have:
4. Investment Management background or experience, as a minimum - an understanding of investment products, asset classes, and investment strategies.
5. Experience supporting large data or technology implementation projects.
6. Experience in performing analysis with vendors, working with investment management stakeholders like portfolio managers, operations, traders, client facing teams.
7. Sound knowledge of software development methodologies, Agile development, tools, SDLC, and technologies.
8. Experience performing investment analysis for use in investment decision making.
What makes you stand out:
9. Broad experience with portfolio and order management systems (e.g. Factset, CRD/State Street Alpha), Investment data warehouse solutions (e.g. Eagle), modern cloud-based Data Warehouses/lakes technology, BI tools, investor client reporting systems and client facing systems.
10. Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse/lake platforms, such as AWS data technologies, Databricks, and Snowflake platforms.
11. Experience in gathering requirements for end User Interface design optimizing the solutions we build internally for end user experience and being thoughtful on how internally built solutions work alongside our vended solutions.
12. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g. Qlik) and designing data solutions for ease of use by BI platforms to enable data self-service.
13. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
14. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
15. Knowledge of the OCIO business.
16. Experience working in global projects that span across regions.

17. Lead analysis related to investment technology solutions and software development initiatives within the investment management domain.
18. Write the business specifications detailing operations of an application or specific function.
19. Consult with development team to ensure requirements are clear and to resolve outstanding questions or issues.
20. Lead user group meetings and work with stakeholders to assist in prioritizing the backlog.
21. Assist in the development of product roadmaps.
22. Work closely in region with business stakeholders to understand how local requirements can map into our broader global solution.
23. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
24. Work with peers globally in the transformation program to align on designing global solutions and minimize regional differences to only the case where they are truly required.
25. Collaborate with investment teams, vendors, and technology stakeholders to understand end user and integration requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs in an optimal way.
26. Evaluate vendor platforms to see if solutions exist that can be purchased vs. built and make recommendations.
27. Provide sign off on functionality prior to promoting to production.
28. Assist in the estimation of features, products, projects and in resource budgeting.
29. Understand the internal end user needs (securities/investments, funds, portfolios, holdings, trades, transactions, IBOR/ABOR, etc) & document their requirements in detail for either vendors or internal teams to build solutions to meet these needs.
