Responsibilities:
1. Producing legal documentation such as court papers, contracts and wills.
2. Accompanying solicitors to police cells or the courtroom.
3. Answering all telephone calls.
4. Being in charge of petty cash while keeping a detailed record of costs.
5. Making appointments for your employer.
6. General administration work.
7. Using in house database.
8. Schedule court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
9. Accurately file documents with the court ahead of deadlines.
10. Transcribe and proofread legal documents.
Qualifications for Legal Secretary
11. 2+ years’ experience as a paralegal or legal secretary.
12. Familiarity with legal documents and terminology.
13. Working knowledge of litigation management software systems.
14. Ability to type with a speed of at least 50 wpm with high accuracy.
15. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
16. Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
