The successful candidate will possess the ability to independently explore complex deep learning challenges and return with effective, implementable solutions suitable for scalable delivery. They will demonstrate ease in collaborating cross-functionally within Agile framework characterized by mutual respect.Additionally, they will be adept at engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders, including those who may lack technical expertise but possess significant proficiency in other fields.Responsibilities:Research and identify AI and traditional algorithms which fit well to given requirementsAssess the effectiveness and accuracy of new algorithms.Design, plan and execute complex research activities which often require the combination of multiple technologies to achieve a goal.A drive to continually learn the latest state of the art methods and read white papers in computer vision.Work closely with product development teams to convert successful research into well architected production ready Python code, coordinating with different functional teams.Provide mentoring and technical leadership to other Python developers.Develop internal processes and developer tooling to streamline multi directional research efforts and to increase the pace and effectiveness amongst many collaborators when working on smaller pieces of a larger effort.Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging and productising new AI technology in industrial settings.Qualifications:Minimum of a Master’s Degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, or comparable industry career with significant experience in computer vision applications.5+ years’ experience in the field of image AI/Deep LearningProficiency in Advanced Python, PIP, Virtual Environments/CondaExtensive experience with PyTorch & Tensorflow.Advanced knowledge of Jupyter Notebooks, AWS SageMaker or other data science tools.Deep knowledge and understanding of a variety of machine learning and deep learning techniques.Any experience with image based anomaly detection or segmentation is a huge benefit. Experience with any other types of image based AI is also considered a plus.Experience with Generative AI & Diffusion models is beneficial.Well versed in Git and Version Contro.Enthusiasm and ability to work with minimum supervision in an environment with tight deadlines.Organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to establish plans of action to effectively ensure achievement of results.Able to influence and drive teamwork to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.Additional Preferences:Previous experience of working for a company delivering high value technical solutions to the life sciences industries.Good understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)Good understanding of Computer System Validation (GAMP V)Good understanding of regulations applicable to life sciences industries including 21 CFR Part 11Why Join Catalyx?At Catalyx we understand that our people are our greatest asset.
