Quantity Surveyor - M&E Contractor - Mayo

Our client specializes in the installation of Mechanical services with extensive experience in pre-fabricating and installing pipework and structural steel.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare cost estimates for all project phases, including tender documents, contracts, drawings, BoQ, specifications, and budgets, while maintaining accurate records.
2. Perform material take-offs prior to purchase requisitions for projects and report any irregularities or discrepancies to project management.
3. Implement post-contract duties, including measurements, final accounts, and evaluation reports. Prepare payment applications and agree with clients.
4. Work closely with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations, and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.
5. Manage, examine, control, and evaluate subcontractor works, evaluate claims, variations, invoices, and ensure contractual obligations are satisfied.
6. Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quantities and specifications align with tender and project specifications. Prepare and update material status and procurement schedules.
7. Conduct meetings with clients, site managers, project managers, and site engineers.
8. Identify and track changes to design and project work and adjust the budget accordingly.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering.
2. 5+ years of Quantity Surveying / Mechanical Engineering experience.
3. Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration, and close-out relating to multi-discipline civil/construction projects.
4. Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
5. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
6. Good communication skills and strong English capability.
