Our client is a leading company in the construction and engineering industry, known for delivering high-quality surveying and consultancy services across commercial and residential projects. With a strong reputation for innovation and excellence, they provide expert advice on property registration, building compliance, and technical due diligence. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct stock condition surveys, including CapEx budgeting and condition assessments.
2. Prepare Opinions of Compliance related to Planning Permission and Building Regulations.
3. Complete Schedules of Condition and Schedules of Dilapidations reports for commercial properties.
4. Undertake Technical Due Diligence surveys and prepare comprehensive property reports.
5. Assist with tender preparation, tendering procedures, and proposal development.
6. Oversee and coordinate project works, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
7. Compile, review, and approve reports and drawings to facilitate smooth project execution.
8. Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
9. Provide expert input and guidance within your area of specialty.
10. Contribute to business development activities and support long-term client relationships.
Requirements
1. BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
2. Chartered Building Surveyor and/or Registered Building Surveyor status (desirable).
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
4. Strong commercial and residential surveying experience, including site inspections.
5. Experience in negotiating settlements on terminal Schedules of Dilapidations (desirable).
6. Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
