Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Site Manager to join our team in Mayo. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical elements of large-scale pharmaceutical and life science projects. You will ensure that mechanical works are completed to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule, while also ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

The Role:
* Project Management: Manage and supervise the mechanical aspects of site operations, ensuring project deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
* Team Leadership: Oversee and lead mechanical contractors, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide guidance and direction to ensure quality work and maintain team morale.
* Quality Control: Conduct inspections and audits to ensure mechanical installations meet both technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Health & Safety: Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Carry out risk assessments and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
* Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, daily site logs, and safety records. Report regularly to the senior management team.
* Coordination: Work closely with other site managers, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of activities and project progress.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical issues that arise on-site, and implement corrective actions promptly.
* Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure work is carried out to the required standards, on time, and within budget.
* Client Liaison: Engage with clients to provide updates, answer queries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
* Proven experience (5+ years) in a mechanical site management role, ideally within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in pharmaceutical facilities, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and cleanroom systems.
* Experience managing large-scale mechanical installations and works on complex projects.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a strong track record of ensuring site safety.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant tools.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
