Job Description:
The Account Director - Consumer PR will be responsible for leading the development and execution of effective PR strategies for well-known domestic consumer brands. This role requires a strategic and creative leader who understands the nuances of the Irish market and can craft campaigns that resonate with local audiences. The Account Director will manage a talented team and deliver results-driven consumer PR initiatives that meet the client's business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute consumer PR strategies focused on the Irish market, leveraging local market insights, consumer behavior trends, and competitive analysis to create impactful campaigns that elevate brand visibility and engagement.
* Client Management: Act as the key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships based on a deep understanding of the local consumer landscape and client objectives. Provide strategic counsel and ensure the delivery of successful PR campaigns.
* Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of PR professionals, providing guidance and support to foster creativity, collaboration, and high performance in delivering consumer-focused campaigns.
* Campaign Execution: Oversee the implementation of integrated PR campaigns, including product launches, events, influencer marketing, and digital activations. Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all consumer-facing initiatives.
* Media & Influencer Relations: Cultivate relationships with key Irish media outlets, influencers, and bloggers. Secure meaningful coverage and endorsements that build brand affinity and connect with local audiences.
* Crisis Management: Provide strategic advice during times of brand challenges or crisis, ensuring effective communication strategies to protect and maintain a positive brand reputation within the Irish market.
* Budget Management: Manage account budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact while staying within financial targets.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other internal teams, including creative, digital, and events, to deliver cohesive and fully integrated PR solutions that align with broader marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in consumer PR, with a proven track record of managing domestic campaigns and working with Irish consumer brands.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding teams to achieve campaign success.
* Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with local consumers.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and creatively, understanding the Irish consumer market and tailoring campaigns to meet local preferences and behaviors.
* Media & Influencer Relations: Experience building relationships with Irish media, influencers, and other stakeholders to generate impactful coverage and partnerships.
* Local Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Irish consumer landscape, including media outlets, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior trends.
