Application Support Technician

About the Role:We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading telecommunications support company based in Dublin. We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Technician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide expert-level application support to end-users, ensuring the seamless operation of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert-level application support to end-users, resolving issues and ensuring seamless operation of business-critical applications.
* Perform detailed analysis and troubleshooting of application issues, leveraging a deep understanding of SQL querying and database frameworks.
* Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
* Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and reliability of applications.
* Manage and prioritise multiple support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
Skill Set:
* Strong SQL Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL querying, with the ability to write, analyse, and optimise complex queries.
* Database Frameworks: In-depth understanding of various database frameworks, including relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
* Application Support Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in application support or a related field. Experience with Infor and ITIL frameworks would be beneficial.
* Technical Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
* Customer Service: A customer-focused attitude, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
