DUBLIN ZOO holds the prestigious position of being ‘Ireland’s leading Fee-Paying Family Attraction’ welcoming in excess of 1.1 million visitors each year.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic Community & Campaign Coordinator to work within our Conservation Education Department to support Dublin Zoo in reaching its conservation education strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include developing and delivering community outreach programmes, on-site visitor engagement activities, and coordinating our social action campaigns in line with Dublin Zoo’s Conservation Education Masterplan.
Minimum qualifications: Candidates must hold a third level qualification in community/youth work, education, science, conservation, or a related field. A good knowledge of conservation, environmental education, or similar is required. Experience engaging with underrepresented communities and related stakeholders is essential, as well as knowledge and experience of identifying learner outcomes and developing learning activities to meet these outcomes.
The successful candidate will be committed to inclusivity and building participation, with an ability to empathise with the life experiences of people from a range of backgrounds and communities. Excellent diplomacy and interpersonal skills are essential, with a proven ability to influence, enthuse, and engage others.
A full driving licence and access to a car is essential. This role will require some weekend work, particularly during our peak visitation periods, and occasional evening work.
