A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Safety & Environment Specialist. You will join a dedicated team and will play an integral role in developing, maintaining, and continually improving the Safety & Environment systems at the Brinny, Co. Cork facility.
The Brinny site specialises in the development and manufacture of innovative novel vaccines and testing of immuno-oncology medicines.
The Brinny site has been a vibrant part of the pharmaceutical sector in the South-East region of Ireland for almost 40 years.
You will provide safety/environmental guidance to the organization and uphold high standards of EHS compliance.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following: Develop, implement and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with local legislation, company standards, and industry best practices.Manage day to day EHS queries and provide Safety/Environment support to business areas.Participate with teams to drive EHS improvements delivering clear outcomes.Evaluate EHS systems, programs and procedures for compliance and improvement by reviewing and carrying out inspections.Collate, review, prepare and submit required regulatory submissions and notifications.Demonstrate a strong desire to protect employees, our community, and the environment – leading with a 'safety first' mindset.Participate in achieving sustainability goals for the company through site initiatives.Participate in Safety and Environmental audits and inspections.Maintain a high standard of documentation in relation to all activities.Other duties as assigned.What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering, Science, Environment and/or Health & Safety related technical discipline.Minimum of 5 years of experience with responsibilities for safety and/or environment.Possess analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.Ability to maintain focus on key goals and priorities, but also analyse the detail to facilitate problem resolution and ensure project success.Knowledge and experience working with EHS regulations.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to influence both horizontally and vertically.Ability to work independently.As a company, we are committed to 'Inventing for Life' in all that we do.
