**Mechanical Maintenance Manager**
Ours is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, working collaboratively with other departments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical maintenance to optimise plant performance and ensure safety. This involves procuring spare parts and services to maintain long-term asset availability, in line with budget and maintenance management systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and tracking long-term maintenance for mechanical equipment
* Liaising with owners, legal authorities, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders
* Ensuring maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety protocols and the permit-to-work system
* Leading performance management for direct reports, ensuring alignment with team objectives
The ideal candidate will hold a BEng, BSc, or equivalent Level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in power plants or heavy industries (coal, mining, material handling). They will also possess strong IT skills and proficiency with maintenance management systems, including preventive maintenance planning and reporting.
A key requirement of this role is the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate with other departments to achieve maintenance plans and targets within safety, economic, and environmental guidelines.
