Job Description:
Circle K are now hiring for the role of Category Manager Lead - Merch & Private Brand. This is a permanent role based in Circle K Support Office in Dublin 4, working on a hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead a Team to deliver on Category Sales, Margin, Units, Traffic and Market Share.
2. Spearhead the successful performance of Private Brand in conjunction with EU strategy.
3. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure E2E delivery of key metrics.
4. Lead and support Projects as part of Category Agenda’s.
5. Influence Market Share growth and share insights with the wider business.
6. Negotiate and deliver JBP commercial income to the department.
7. Broaden customer offering by sourcing, negotiating and commercializing existing and fresh assortment through existing supply chain.
8. Manage and utilize relationships with the supply base.
9. Own the execution of local BU strategy and tactics.
10. Facilitate Planogram, Floorplan, Sourcing/Supply Chain, Training and Execution in all areas of strategies, tactics, and projects for Convenience Categories with stakeholders.
11. Research, develop, and pilot new ideas and innovations for local category growth in line with improving Customer Journey.
12. Adopt yearly EU Category/Marketing Plans and develop local category/marketing plans on a BU market level following the European process, structure, and timing.
13. Report to BU Leadership Team on a regular basis results, plans, and initiatives that demonstrate success.
Experience:
1. Knowledgeable in category management & performance management tools and methods within retail business.
2. Sourcing product through existing suppliers while adding new supply opportunities.
3. A minimum of 5+ years experience working in FMCG & retail or specialized industry.
4. Track Record of innovation and achieving “First Mover” status with successful outcomes.
5. Experience from working with consumer insights, product & brand development.
6. Evidence of procurement and contract negotiations.
7. Experience in product research & development, Supply Chain, product regulations, quality control, HSE.
8. Examples of success in delivering strategic growth plans.
9. Preferred to have Higher relevant education; Degree in Business or relevant area an advantage.
10. Category Management training.
