As a Senior Project Manager, you will be joining a consultancy based in South Dublin that, due to growth in project pipeline, is now seeking to add to their team of skilled project managers and quantity surveyors. This consultancy has a strong team with a variety of experience, with the directors taking a hands-on approach to live projects and working closely with the remainder of the team to deliver projects to the highest quality and standards. Projects remit across Ireland and globally in some instances.
Your New Role As a Senior Project Manager, you will be working with clients needing project management services, which can include supervision, management, planning, and delivery of projects large or small. Projects can begin at inception or through a life-cycle. Usual Project Management duties can include cost controls, through budgets, expenditures, and costs. Managing the appointment of contractors and consultants to the projects, ensuring communication is efficient with all stakeholders. Other aspects include pre-contract management, on-site management, risk management, and document management. These would be some aspects of the role, and as a Senior Project Manager, you should be comfortable with them. Other parts of the role involve mentoring more junior staff members, knowledge sharing, attending conventions, and being able to market the business and see commercial opportunities when they arise.
The Requirements You should have a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying. Project experience should be a mixture of public and private sectors at a large scale, with a minimum of 5 years of experience on Irish projects. You should be confident, able to argue your points, and able to manage stakeholders effectively, explaining complex concepts in construction simply.
Our client is based in South Dublin, with ease of transport for commuting and plenty of access points via bus or other forms. They are a household name in the construction industry with some great large-scale projects across Ireland to take under your belt. Salary can be discussed upon application; however, you could expect it to be in the €75K-€90K range. They are happy to look at profiles commanding more, and this is very much dependent on your experience.
