Orange Recruitment is seeking experienced Social Care Workers to provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to individuals of all ages and families in need, helping them live independently, safely, and with dignity in community or residential settings across Dublin and Wicklow.
Key duties:
Care Planning and Support: Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other professionals.
Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure that the needs of the individual are met.
Direct Care:
Provide practical and emotional support to individuals with a variety of needs (e.g., physical, emotional, sensory).
Safeguarding and Protection:
Ensure the safety and well-being of service users by identifying and responding to risks or concerns, adhering to all safeguarding policies and guidelines.
Advocacy:
Advocate on behalf of individuals to ensure their voice is heard and that they are supported in accessing appropriate services and resources.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of care provided, including assessments, care plans, progress reports, and incidents.
Have good knowledge on legal requirements regarding confidentiality and data protection.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other professionals such as healthcare workers, social workers, and therapists to deliver holistic care.
Community Engagement:
Support individuals to engage with their community, participate in social and recreational activities, and promote inclusion and independence.
Requirements:
Must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Workers registration board with CORU from November 2023, must obtain such registration by November 2025 and must maintain such registration for the duration of employment in this role.
Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
Experience of delivering personal care.
Experience of assisting children with medical needs/ administering medication.
Experience of engaging in professional supervision.
Possess a full, clean driving license.
