Position: Graduate, Facilities Reporting to: Manager, Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety Responsibilities The Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety function includes Facilities, Environment and Health and Safety. As a Facilities graduate, you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge as well as having responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: - Facilities: Understand the importance of keeping spaces, structures and infrastructure in proper operating condition in routine, scheduled, or anticipated fashion to prevent failure and/or degradation. Support the maintenance of a series of maintenance metrics to drive improved equipment reliability. Support the maintenance process to ensure it is adhered to, reporting of issues to facilities team and/or production. Assist with the updating of the asset strategy for the lifetime of Cook Medical assets. This includes updating the asset register and determining the useful life of the asset. Ensuring the correct application of predictive maintenance technologies across the site. This includes proper equipment coverage, assisting with interpretation of data, and assisting the facilities team with planning corrective actions when needed. Support the design, implementation and validation of production spaces to ISO Cleanroom standards. Determine equipment criticality based on business requirements around quality, health and safety. Help determine spare parts identification and stocking strategy. Maintain and review Preventive Maintenance Plans and Procedures for facilities maintenance. Ensure Quality compliance for all in house and contract maintenance activities. Support the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement activities to support Lean initiatives, cost reduction, and maintenance excellence. Assist with the identification and implementation of training requirements. Support and comply with all EHS procedures across the site. Ensure that Cooks Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook's behalf. Qualifications Third level qualification in Engineering. Previous experience in the medical device industry is desirable but not essential e.g., Co-Op placement, intern placement etc Ambitious, passionate and dynamic individual with a high level of integrity, drive and commitment. A genuine interest in quality and regulatory aspects of the medical device industry. Strong work ethic. Highly motivated individual, self-starter with a passion for excellence. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Basic knowledge of medical device quality standards/practises or similar regulated industry. Proven problem-solving skills. Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Proven organisational skills. High self-motivation. Team Player with ability to develop strong working relationships.
