Job Responsibilities:
1. Monitors assigned molding machines and ensures efficient operation, reporting issues to staff for correction.
2. Maintains a neat and orderly work cell, following 5S and cleaning practices.
3. Operates manual molding machines when required.
4. Demonstrates accountability in sustaining a positive safety culture.
5. Answers press alarms to maximize press efficiencies.
6. Transfers scrap and runners to the grinding area and parts to Central Store.
7. Reviews procedures for compliance and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
8. Reports processing problems to the appropriate delegate for resolution.
9. Meets quality, quantity, and Good Manufacturing Practices to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements.
10. Operates scales, documents correct part quantities, and weighs up.
11. Trims parts off runners, separates runners, and signs cleaning documents.
12. Starts and understands Line Clearances, reviewing paperwork for proper documentation to comply with GMP procedures.
13. Works well with team members, following outlined procedures, safety guidelines, and ensuring quality and cost standards are met.
14. Assures compliance of company operations with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including FDA, Quality Systems Regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and government regulations.
15. Engages others, promotes, and participates in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
16. Quickly identifies press issues to minimize scrap production.
17. Maintains a neat and orderly (5S) area to eliminate safety hazards.
Key Relationships: Communication with Supervision, Process Technicians, Material Handlers, off-shifts, Quality Control, and support departments.
Qualifications:
1. Must be detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and math skills.
2. Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred.
3. Knowledge and experience in mechanical and electronic measurement and test equipment preferred.
4. Mechanical ability and aptitude necessary.
5. Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or equivalent work experience.
6. Ability to read engineering or mechanical drawings preferred.
7. Time management, communication, fast pace, and multi-tasking abilities are required.
8. Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks to complete all work by the end of the shift.
9. Works with minimal supervision regarding routine tasks.
10. Good decision-making skills.
