Position Description
Accounts Payable is responsible for strong compliance and supplier payment performance across ESB.
Activities of the Requisition to Pay team in Waterford include Invoice Processing across all payment channels, preparation and filing of Tax Returns, filing of Regulatory statistics, and managing the Customs and Freight contract.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily processing of a large volume of invoices and related workflow across all payment channels.
2. On-boarding of suppliers to pdf/automated invoice receipt.
3. Engaging with Suppliers on resolving invoice queries.
4. Monitoring of the Accounts Payable Mailboxes daily.
5. Follow through on all internal and external accounts payable queries from start to resolution.
6. Investigating and resolving overdue workflows.
7. Ensuring the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
8. Protecting the business against unintentional overpayment/duplication and fraudulent activity.
9. Participating in project work.
10. System testing.
11. Participating in Accounts Payable process improvement initiatives.
12. Assisting the Team Lead with various tasks.
Experience and Qualifications
1. Excellent numeracy, analytical skills.
2. Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
3. Good attention to detail with ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
4. Good communication and presentation skills.
5. Innovative and a self-starter.
6. Strong team working skills.
7. Understanding of ESB’s procurement procedures and accounting transactions as applied in SAP.
Location
This position will be based in Gracedieu, Waterford.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
