The Kepak Group are looking to recruit the right person for a permanent Warehouse Operative role to cover our manufacturing facility in McCarren Meats in Cavan. This is an excellent position for a Food Science individual who is looking for an excellent role within a very supportive environment. McCarren Meats Unlimited Company is probably the oldest traditional pig slaughtering, processing, and bacon curing company in Ireland.
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative
REPORTING TO: Dispatch Supervisor

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
· Load and unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
· Receive/process shipments
· Move and stack materials
· Pick and scan orders
· Rotate floor stock
· General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
· Perform general warehouse duties to maintain a smooth operation
· Report all breakages, damages or defaults of equipment to the Line Supervisor, ensuring all machinery is only used when it is safe to use. Record checks as and when directed.
· Use common warehouse management software
· Ensure that the product is of the highest standard and report any issues to your supervisor immediately.
· Co-operate with all company training, asking questions and ensuring they feel satisfied in relation to all aspects of the area and role they are working in
· Reporting any accidents or near misses is expected and assistance with any investigation is a prerequisite of the Company’s safety policy.
Note: As with all positions, due to the nature of our business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time
Skills / Experience
· Previous forklift experience essential
· Previous PPT experience highly beneficial
· Previous production experience highly beneficial
· Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment highly beneficial
· Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
· Each employee must be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
· Each candidate must be of good character. Employment of the successful candidate shall be subject to satisfactory confidential reports.

Hours of Work
· 39 hours per week with the possibility of overtime
· 8 hour rotating shift pattern, hours may vary from 6:00am – 6:00am.
· Weekend work is also required
