The facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings, with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones.
This enables people with diabetes to live the best and fullest lives they can.At Abbott in Kilkenny, you can shape your career as you help shape the future of healthcare.This is how you can make a difference at Abbott:In this role you will have knowledge in our manufacturing process, as a Jr Process Engineer Ebeam you will:Responsibilities:• Service, troubleshoot, and solve problems with processes or equipment already in operation.•Coordinate and contribute to the design of Ops, protocols, specifications, and validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).• May be responsible for leading teams or projects.• Calculates, organizes, and analyses data for projects.• Models, implements and maintains processes and units operations.• Ensures proper sequence of operation and prepares specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment.• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.• May be responsible for corrective and preventive actions and investigation management.• Monitor machine performance (OEE/KPI's) in real time to maximise production output.• Contribute to analytical development through design and execution of experiments, data analysis and communication of conclusions through presentations and reports.• Seek opportunities for significant, process or product improvements, considering critical quality attributes, critical process parameters, and product performance characteristics.• Develop and maintain project timelines and provide updates and feedback to leadership.• Knowledge of analytical techniques and preferably troubleshooting• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills• Proven Technical writing skills with proven capability in providing rationale for equipment and processesQualifications and Experience:• A Craft cert or NFQ Level 7 closely related discipline is desired.• 1+ year experience within the Pharmaceutical/ Medical Device Industry – Sterilization experience would be an advantage.• Project experience preferred.• Strong problem solving.• Must possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.What we OfferAttractive compensation package that includes competitive pay, as well as benefits such asFamily health insurance,Excellent pension schemeLife assuranceCareer DevelopmentFantastic new facilityGrowing business plus access to many more benefits.Abbott is an equal opportunities employer.
