Job Description
As an NPU Lab and Automation Engineer, you will be active in supporting NPU group development activities across all our development disciplines.
Key Activities:
* Automation and Infrastructure Development:
o Designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline test and validation workflows, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
o Building CI/CD pipelines to automate software integration, testing, and deployment processes.
o Utilizing tools such as Ansible, Python, and other scripting languages to automate hardware setup and configuration tasks.
* Hardware and Software Debugging:
o Diagnosing and resolving issues with test platforms and supporting hardware, including pre-production and experimental systems.
o Troubleshooting software configuration problems, ensuring toolchains, libraries, and dependencies are correctly installed and optimized.
* Operational Excellence:
o Implementing processes to track and optimize utilization of lab resources, including hardware inventory and compute capacity.
o Developing monitoring solutions for hardware and automation reliability, ensuring robust uptime and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years work experience required.
* Honours degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering (or similar discipline).
Desired Technical Skills:
* Expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform.
* Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
* Familiarity with hardware setup, including board bring-up, peripheral configuration, and debugging interfaces (e.g., JTAG, UART).
* Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms like GitLab/GitHub.
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
