Our client is seeking a proactive, results-driven Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the performance and strategic development of the finance function, ensuring the effective management of financial operations, and leading a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support:
Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and other financial reports for review.
Financial Oversight:
Maintain checks and balances on various nominal ledger accounts and ensure the timely preparation of month-end reports.
Payroll & Payments:
Oversee Group payroll, supplier, and subcontractor functions.
Review and authorize payment files via online banking platforms.
Compliance:
Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., VAT, Tax).
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Prepare annual budgets and short/long-term cashflow projections.
Collaboration:
Engage with the commercial department to ensure accuracy in project estimation and rates.
External Relationships:
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and global payroll advisers as necessary.
Team Leadership:
Lead, develop, and motivate a team of four finance professionals, fostering a culture of growth, efficiency, and high performance.
KPI Management:
Drive finance department KPIs and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
Person Specification:
Qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Experience:
At least 5+ years in a similar role with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams.
Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience in multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional environments is an advantage.
Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
A proactive approach with the ability to lead independently and effectively.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
