Working model: Hybrid (3 days in office)
We are looking for a talented IT support technician who will report to the IT Infrastructure & Network Manager. You will provide high-quality technical support to end-users across our clients' teams. This role involves ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, maintaining network security, and delivering excellent customer service to a user base of approximately 250 people.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the IT Helpdesk team to provide support for:
2. Microsoft 365
3. WAN & LAN networks
4. Firewalls
5. VMWare & Windows Server
6. Windows 10/11 support and deployment
7. OS and software patching
8. A variety of business applications
9. Uphold best practices in IT security across the network.
10. Maintain and support local and wide area networks.
11. Assist in updating and testing the Business Continuity Plan as needed.
12. Provide out-of-hours support and travel between a few locations around Ireland as required.
13. Adhere to procurement processes when purchasing hardware and software.
14. Research, source, and implement software/hardware solutions as needed.
Skills and Experience:
1. IT Degree or equivalent qualification.
2. 1-2 years experience as a computer technician or in a similar role.
3. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Strong communication abilities and a thorough understanding of computer systems and IT components.
5. Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
6. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
