Your New Role
As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will be integral to our buildings team, contributing to projects that range from private housing developments to healthcare facilities and educational institutions. You will work on notable projects like Ballyshannon Community Hospital, Letterkenny Community Nursing Unit, and Dublin Port Headquarters. Your role will involve developing innovative structural designs, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with building regulations and technical guidance documents.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
* An honours degree in structural/civil engineering (Level 8 qualification or equivalent)
* Five to ten years of relevant experience
* Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
* Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Experience mentoring junior engineering staff
* A good understanding of ethical issues in engineering design, including safety
* Chartered status or working towards it with a recognized professional body
* A full driving license
* Fluency in spoken and written English
Desirable skills include experience with structural design in accordance with Eurocodes, knowledge of BIM/Revit/Robot, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
