Job Title: Learning Designer
Fixed term, 6 months. 39 hours.
Location: Beckett Way, Cherry Orchard, Dublin (Hybrid role)
Job Purpose:
To work with subject matter experts to design, develop and re-design e-learning courses for students and staff, and to investigate and resolve Virtual Learning Environment (i.e. Moodle) issues, in order to support Rehab Group’s strategic priority of delivering a “First-Class” student experience.
Minimum Education & Experience required:
* Degree in education, instructional design or relevant discipline.
* Minimum of two years of experience in designing, developing and re-designing courses for fully online or blended delivery for students of different levels of ability.
* Experience of partnering with and coaching subject matter experts to develop engaging, accessible and effective online learning resources.
* Experience of creating accessible learning resources that adhere to Universal Design for Learning principles.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Analyse the needs of students and facilitate the translation of subject matter experts’ expertise into high-quality e-learning course content (QQI Levels 1 to 6) to support the Rehab Group’s strategic priority of delivering a “First-Class” student experience.
* Design, develop and re-design courses for fully online or blended delivery for students of different levels of ability in order to enhance and advance inclusive learning opportunities.
* Engage in quality reviews, user experience and usability testing in order to provide students and staff with learning resources that increase their opportunity to learn and succeed.
* Create resources using multimedia packages for learning (e.g. Articulate Storyline) and produce and edit audio and video in order to provide students with engaging and effective learning resources, and to amplify the voice of the student.
