Our client a leading provider of supply solutions are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer for their multi-site business.
If you are a Health & Safety Officer with warehouse experience this is an opportunity not to be missed.
This role will involve travel to multiple branches, and you will be required to be in Dublin one day a week.
Company car or car allowance plus benefits included.
Key Responsibilities Safety Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety management systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with Irish Health and Safety legislation.
Branch Inspections:
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across over 20 sites to identify hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure adherence to company policies.
Training & Induction:
Deliver effective Health and Safety training programs and inductions to employees, and other stakeholders.
Incident Reporting:
Manage and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, ensuring proper investigation and follow-up actions are taken.
Compliance:
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure projects meet statutory Health and Safety requirements.
Ensure proper racking systems are installed, maintained and securely loadedto prevent accidents.
Follow trip and fall prevention procedures by keeping walkways clear and promptly addressing hazards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Branch Managers and staff to foster a culture of safety excellence.
Documentation and Corporate Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, audits, ESG reporting, and incident reports for internal and external review.
Experience/Requirements A recognized qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
Require a minimum of 3 years experience in a Health and Safety capacity with a warehouse background Experience with racking and forklifts including inspections Strong knowledge of Irish Health and Safety regulations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong project management skills and an ability to handle competing priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous forklift experience required for safe material handling and transportation.
MUST be able to travel to the different Irish sites as required Full clean drivers license is essential Remuneration Package €55,000- €70,000 plus company car or car allowance and benefits
