Minimum Requirements:
* Health and Safety NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
* Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* B2 level of English in written and verbal communication
* Experience running metrics reports and analyzing data to identify problems and root causes
This is a permanent full-time role requiring flexibility to work shifts. To help us achieve this, we’re seeking a driven WHS Technician. Using your communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, you will be providing health and safety advice, guidance, and support at all levels of our operational team to manage and drive health and safety in one of our Fulfilment Centres (FCs).
In this crucial health and safety position, you’ll report into the WHS Manager, as part of a shift-based role.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Provide high visibility presence within the Fulfilment Centre to drive engagement and build relationships with associates and managers at all levels of the business.
* Attendance at site meetings, such as daily deep dive, flow meetings, etc. as needed.
* Completion of key duties such as observations, inspections, and audits to drive injury prevention and training compliance, and participation in management audits to build trust and fulfill support role.
* Assist in the First Aid and incident investigation processes, providing technical advice and support to the leadership team to ensure that duty of care is met and causal factors are identified; help identify and drive corrective actions to facilitate injury prevention.
* Understand and track compliance of key regulatory, legislative, and internal standards and/or requirements and highlight reports to WHS Manager as needed.
* Complete daily standard work as determined by WHS Manager and communicate completion of standard work to WHS team.
* Advise and collaborate with the operations team to undertake and review scheduled and dynamic risk assessments as required, to ensure we can meet our customer promise safely, while proactively monitoring the deployment of control measures.
* Accurately complete daily metrics and callouts whilst meeting deadlines.
* Learn, understand, and implement Amazon WHS procedures, providing technical WHS advice and support to leadership.
* Conduct yourself professionally at all times: maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations.
* Assist with coaching, training, and briefing to operational teams (all levels) to ensure compliance with the safety management system and promote safe behaviors.
* Undertake and support deployment of any site and/or regional projects.
