Context of Role:
The Electrical Engineer role will be responsible for leading the onsite facilities electrical team, liaising with both the Senior FM and the Technical Services Manager, managing crews of direct labour and subcontractors, ordering materials, managing Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance, comprehensive engineering and project management and ensuring the clients requirements around compliance and health and safety are met.
On the job training will be given in many aspects of the role.

Experience Required
* A Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Packages and CMMS systems.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the operation and management of engineering services, ideally within a comparable industry
* Strong knowledge of facility equipment and site utilities, certifications and control and safety procedures
* An understanding of the relative Rules & Standards: I.S. 10101 National Rules for Electrical Installations; I.S. 3218 Fire Detection Standards; and I.S. 3217 Emergency Lighting Standard.
* A good knowledge of electrical maintenance.
* Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Dimensions:
Responsibilities
* Oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive work on M&E services.
* Organise/manage sub-contractors to carry out PPM’s and project work
* Manage and supervise electrical maintenance operatives on site.
* Issue work permits for subcontractors; review risk Risk Assessments and Method Statements for reactive jobs and PPM’s.
* Review reports from PPM’s and organise follow on work if required.
* Responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of electrical activities.
* Support utilities teams, overseeing electrical engineering developments and systems, and working with clients to define project requirements and technical solutions.
* Liaise with site electrical team to review and/or create new PPM records within the plant.
* Develop and champion continuous improvement programs.
* Lead design processes, including pre/post shutdown activities, service coordination, and technical submittals.
* Develop and support technical project strategies and troubleshooting activities.
* Identify and implement Sustainable and Value Engineering Solutions in project design.
* Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and value engineering.
