Director of Nursing Role
The Director of Nursing is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing and social care to residents at Gorey Care Centre. The role entails ensuring the implementation of the company's Quality of Care System, monitoring clinical practice, and conducting internal audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality of Care: Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of nursing and social care through implementation of the company's Quality of Care System and adherence to regulations and standards.
* Clinical Practice: Monitor and improve clinical practice through individualized plans of care for each resident and conduct regular internal audits.
* Financial Administration: Maintain administrative procedures, monitor financial records, and manage the Community Units budget.
* General Management: Conduct regular communication meetings with staff, establish relationships with external agencies, and liaise with marketing to promote the care centre.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Qualified RGN with at least 3 years' experience in the last 6 years in care of the older person, post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
* Skills and Attributes: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, sound decision-making ability, and results-driven approach.
Working Arrangements: This is a full-time position requiring maximum flexibility to work in the care centre. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed upon periodically.
